The average lifespan of a bear is 20-25 years.  2. Mothers stay with their cubs for up to 3 years. As a result of staying with their young so long they normally reproduce every 3-5 years.  3. Bears can hibernate anywhere from 4-7 months.  4. Grizzly bears almost dig a new den every year. Moving up to a ton of materials to make their home perfect for the winter conditions. This process can take more than a week to build.  5. The average lifespan of a bear is 20-25 years.  2. Mothers stay with their cubs for up to 3 years. As a result of staying with their young so long they normally reproduce every 3-5 years.  3. Bears can hibernate anywhere from 4-7 months.  4. Grizzly bears almost dig a new den every year. Moving up to a ton of materials to make their home perfect for the winter conditions. This process can take more than a week to build.  5.
