This trail showcases a stunning landscape of towering rock pinnacles\, featuring an otherworldly terrain adorned with rock pillars\, slabs\, and boulders. As you gently climb towards Boulder Tarn\, a serene lake nestled among the bluffs\, you’ll encounter the impressive pancake rocks\, characterized by larger boulders and delicate layers of sandstone. Duration: 2-3 Hours Distance: 4 KM Return Difficulty Rating: Moderate (with steep and rocky sections) Babcock Falls TrailExperience the beauty of Babcock Falls on this short yet enchanting trail that winds through lush pine forests and wetlands. The path leads to the magnificent 8-meter-high Babcock Falls\, with wooden boardwalks constructed thanks to generous contributions from the Peace River Regional District. As you stroll\, you’ll discover unique wetland flowers along the way. Address: 265 Southgate St\, Tumbler Ridge\, BC V0C 2W0. How much water should I carry? It is recommended to pack 2 liters of water for the hike. Hydration bladders are particularly effective in the summer months. A water filter will be provided by your guide. Are dogs allowed? Unfortunately\, dogs are not permitted on the trail\, except for the guide’s dog. Is it a women-only hike? No\, our hikes are inclusive\, and everyone is welcome to join! Is it beginner-friendly? Yes\, the hike is suitable for beginners with some walking experience. While the trail includes challenging sections\, participants should be physically fit enough to navigate hills and walk comfortably for at least three kilometers at a time. Please note that the trail is rated as moderate to challenging due to its distance. Can children join in on the fun? Absolutely! We encourage family participation. The minimum age limit for participants is 10 years old. How do we get to the location? We will coordinate a carpool\, led by the guide\, to the trailhead. What if the roads are bad? Meeting at the Tumbler Ridge Visitor Centre at 9:00 AM allows ample time to reach the trailhead.
