SUMMARY:Quality Falls - Kid Friendly!
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day of exploring Tumbler Ridge\, BC and getting the kids on the trails together. \nQuality Falls is a perfect trail for us moms and kids to go on. It’s short distance of 2.5 KM round trip. The Quality Falls trail takes visitors on a short journey to the highest of these falls\, where a picnic area and observation point await. This scenic trail takes you through mature spruce forest\, with steep descents\, leading to the picturesque confluence of Quality Creek with the Murray River. \n																														 \nFee + Cost:  \n1 Adult – $50 + GST  \n1 Kid – $25 + GST \n					\n									CLICK HERE TO REGISTER YOU AND YOUR KIDS\n					\n															\n															\n																														 \nHIKING WITH KIDS \nDon’t get scared about bringing the kids adventuring. This event is mean’t to inspire us families to enjoy the great outdoors with our kids\, by bringing like-minded people together and hitting the trail. If your kid cries that’s okay. They all cry. If your kid whines that’s okay every kid whines. Don’t be scared of the little things. We just want to get you past your front door and hitting the trails.  \nWHAT TO PACK FOR YOUR KID \nPacking for your kid(s) on an adventure can be a little confusing and overwhelming especially if you haven’t been before. Let’s keep it simple! \nHere is our starter list for the littles.  \nBaby carrier – Make sure you pack the rain cover just in case it decides to rain on us. A splash suit would work perfect if you have no rain cover.  \nThink layers when dressing your kid. Having a good base layer will help your kid stay warm.  \nShoes – Runners should be the perfect option but just in case the trail is muddy pack rubber boots. We will know the conditions at the trailhead.  \nSnacks and more snacks. We all know our kids eat a ton\, so pack some good hand snacks for the trails. There is a picnic bench at the lookout for the kids to enjoy a lunch.  \nChanging table – There will be a picnic bench at the lookout if you need to change your baby. No outhouses on the trail. A bag to keep the garbage in will be handy when it comes to pack in what you pack out. Including diapers if needed.  \nHydration – Make sure to pack a water bottle for the little as the trail will be burning up some energy!  \n																														 \nWhat to pack for us parents? When going out in the woods\, you always want to consider the 10 essentials. Maybe you can’t grab everything on the list. Don’t worry our guides will be carrying first aid and emergency supplies\, pack what you can but here is a day list to help you pack. \nWhat to Pack? \n\n20-30L Daypack – if not carrying a carrier.\nTrekking poles\nSturdy Hiking footwear\nHiking shirt – long sleeves help with sun protection\nHiking shorts or pants\nRain gear – waterproof\nSnacks\nWater – Bladder & Water Bottle\nSunscreen\nHat\nSunglasses\nLip Balm\nHead Lamp – Extra batteries\nFirst Aid Kit\nMatches\nFire Starter\nEmergency Shelter – Emergency Blanket\nBug Spray\nMulti-tool/knife\nChange of clothes waiting for you in the car.\nToilet Paper\n\nExtra clothing is one of the 10 essentials. Weather can change quickly\, and you may be out longer than planned. In every season\, be prepared with additional waterproof layers\, fleece jacket or warm layers\, extra socks\, gloves and toque and buff. \nOptional: \n\nRain cover for daypack.\nBear Spray\n\nFREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS\nWhere do we meet?  \nTumbler Ridge Visitor Centre – 11:00 AM  \nAddress: 265 Southgate St\, Tumbler Ridge\, BC V0C 2W0 \nAre dogs allowed? \nNo\, only guides are allowed to have their dogs on the trail. \nIs it women only?  \nNo\, all parents welcome.  \nIs it beginner-friendly?  \nYes\, this trail is very beginner friendly.  \nHow did we get to the location? \nWe will carpool in a line from the visitor centre with the guide leading to the trailhead. Note the trailhead is very close to Tumbler Ridge\, BC.  \nWhat is the cancellation policy? \nRefund Policy – Due to the nature of outdoor adventures and that we have many upfront costs\, all-day adventures are non-refundable. We can issue a credit for the full amount that guests can use for a future adventure with cancellations a week in advance from the date of the trip. We do everything to the best of our abilities to provide an amazing experience however due to weather & safety restrictions we may\, at times\, not be able to reach the summit or desired view with the group.  \nIf you cancel last minute 0-7 days you will NOT be issued a credit to a future event. Please\, give as much notice as you can\, as spots are limited on each trip.  \nWhat if the roads are bad?  \nWe have the meeting at the Tumbler Ridge Visitor Centre at 11:00 AM giving us plenty of time to get there. Please\, take your time on the roads. Make sure to have my number in your phone just in case if you can’t make it.  \nWhere can I go to the bathroom?  \nThere are plenty of places to stop and go to the bathroom.  \nIs Peak Wyld Co responsible for your vehicle to the trailhead?  \nNo\, the participant is responsible for the drive to the trailhead. Peak Wyld Co is not responsible for any damages done to vehicle while driving or parked at the trailhead.
