DESCRIPTION:WINTER SOLSTICE \nQuality Falls \n			\n									BOOK HERE\n					 \nThe winter solstice is not just a moment to mark the darkest time of the year\, but a powerful reminder of the inevitability of change and the enduring light that follows. \n\n																							 \nAs you embark on your winter solstice adventure\, the air is crisp and invigorating\, filled with the scent of spruce and the faint sound of crunching snow underfoot. Dressed in warm layers\, you strap on your snowshoes\, feeling the weight of the world lift with each step. \nThe path ahead winds through a serene winter landscape\, where snow blankets the ground like a soft white quilt. Tall evergreens stand sentinel\, their branches heavy with glistening snowflakes that catch the soft light of the low sun. As you walk\, the silence is profound\, broken only by the occasional distant crack of ice or the whisper of the wind. \nAfter a while\, you reach a clearing\, and there it is: the frozen waterfall. Majestic and still\, the water has transformed into shimmering ice\, cascading down the rocks in delicate\, crystalline formations. Sunlight reflects off the surface\, creating a dazzling display of light and shadow. The surrounding area is adorned with icicles that hang like nature’s chandeliers\, creating a magical atmosphere. \nYou take a moment to breathe in the beauty\, feeling a sense of tranquility and connection to the natural world. The winter solstice\, with its promise of longer days ahead\, feels like a celebration of stillness and reflection in this enchanting winter landscape. \nItinerary\nThe itinerary includes a visit to the TR Visitor Centre for last-minute Christmas shopping featuring unique creations from local artists. Guests will enjoy a mocktail celebration\, a snowshoe trek to the stunning Quality Falls. Randy Gulick with Wild River Adventure Tours offers rentals. You will need to call him in advance at 780-830-8848. Participant is responsible for pick-up and drop off of snowshoes. Not apart of fees.  \nIs it beginner friendly?  \nYes\, there are some challenging parts of the trail with navigating your snowshoes/crampons. This tour is suitable for beginners. You should be physically fit enough to walk up and down a few hills\, and walk at a comfortable pace for three kilometres. \nWhere do we park?  \nThere will be a side pull out to park on the road. We will try and take up as little room as possible. If you would like to carpool from TR that can be discussed at the Visitor Centre.  \nHow did we get to location? \nWe will carpool in a line with the guide leading to the trailhead. \nIs the tour cancelled if it is too cold? \nIf the temperature goes below -30 degrees celsius then we will not run the tour and we can reschedule your booking. No refunds due to act of god but can move your credit to a different trip.  \nWhat is the cancellation policy? \nRefund Policy – Due to the nature of outdoor adventures and that we have many upfront costs\, all day adventures are non refundable. We can issue a credit for full amount that guest can use to a future adventure if cancelled more than 48 hours in advance. We do everything in the best of our abilities to provide an amazing experience however due to weather & safety restrictions we may\, at times\, not be able to reach summit or desired view with group.  \nWhat if the roads are bad?  \nWe have the meeting at the Tumbler Ridge Visitor Centre at 10:30 AM giving us plenty of time to get there. Please\, take your time on the roads.
