Wind chill can change the temperature dramatically and you will be outside for the duration of your tour. Dress in layers to be mobile but comfortable with temperatures. \n \nFrequently Asked Questions \nMeeting Location \n\nWhere do we meet?\nTumbler Ridge Visitor Centre at 10:00 AM.\nAddress: 265 Southgate St\, Tumbler Ridge\, BC V0C 2W0\n\nSki Rentals \n\nCan I rent skis?\nYes! You can rent skis from your local Ski Club\, which is a great way to support the community if you don’t have your own gear. The TR Visitor Centre also offers rentals\, but they are on a first-come\, first-served basis\, and availability in your size isn’t guaranteed.\n\nTrail Difficulty \n\nIs it beginner-friendly?\nAbsolutely! While there are some challenging sections\, the tour is suitable for beginners. You should be fit enough to walk up and down a few hills and maintain a comfortable pace for about three kilometres. The tour starts with a mini skills session to help you get gliding on your own in no time!\n\nFamily Participation \n\nCan my child join in?\nYes\, we welcome families! The minimum age for participants is 11.\n\nParking Information \n\nWhere do we park?\nWe will start at the campground right outside of Tumbler Ridge. We’ll do our best to take up minimal space. If you’re interested in carpooling from Tumbler Ridge\, we can discuss that at the Visitor Centre.\n\nGetting to the Trailhead \n\nHow do we get to the location?\nWe will carpool in a line with the guide leading the way to the trailhead from the Visitor Centre.\n\nTour Cancellation Due to Weather \n\nIs the tour cancelled if it’s too cold?\nIf temperatures drop below -30 degrees Celsius (excluding wind chill)\, we will not hold the tour and can reschedule your booking to a future date.\n\nCancellation Policy \n\nWhat is the cancellation policy?\nRefund Policy: Due to the nature of outdoor adventures and upfront costs\, all-day adventures are non-refundable. However\, if you cancel at least a week in advance\, we can issue a credit for the full amount to be used for a future adventure. No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations made within a week of the event. We strive to provide an amazing experience\, but weather and safety restrictions may sometimes prevent us from reaching the summit or desired viewpoint.\n\nRoad Conditions \n\nWhat if the roads are bad?\nWe’ll meet at the Tumbler Ridge Visitor Centre at 10:00 AM\, giving everyone enough time to arrive safely. Please drive carefully\, and make sure to have my number saved in your phone in case you can’t make it.\n\nRestroom Facilities \n\nWhere can I use the bathroom?\nThere are plenty of places to stop for restroom breaks\, but please note that there are no outhouses along the trail.\n\nVehicle Responsibility \n\nAre we responsible for our vehicle to the trailhead?\nYes\, participants are responsible for driving to the trailhead.
