Here’s a clear packing list for your snowshoeing trip, organized for easy reference:
This list should help ensure that you’re well-prepared for your day on the trails.
Please be prepared for the mountain weather, it changes quickly and our winter tours run in anything from -30C (-4F) to +10C (+50F). Wind chill can change the temperature dramatically and you will be outside for the duration of your tour. Dress in layers to be mobile but comfortable with temperatures.
Total Fee: $65 + GST = $68.25

What if the trip gets cancelled?
If cancelled due to ‘act of god’, your full credit will be moved to a future date.

Can I rent snowshoes?
Snowshoe rentals available. $20/day. Randy Gulick with Wild River Adventure Tours offers rentals. You will need to call him in advance at 780-830-8848. Participant is responsible for pick-up and drop off of snowshoes. Not apart of fees. Separate.
Is it beginner friendly?
Yes, there are some challenging parts of the trail with navigating your snowshoes/crampons. This tour is suitable for beginners. You should be physically fit enough to walk up and down a few hills, and walk at a comfortable pace for three kilometres. The first part of the tour is a mini skills session to get you trekking on your own in minutes!
Can your child join in on the fun?
Yes, we love having the whole family out. Minimum age limit is 11.
Where do we park?
There will be a little side pull out on the right to park on the road. We will try and take up as little room as possible. If you would like to carpool from TR that can be discussed at the Visitor Centre.
How did we get to location?
We will carpool in a line with the guide leading to the trailhead.
Is the tour cancelled if it is too cold?
If the temperature goes below -30 degrees celsius then we will not run the tour and we can reschedule your booking. No refunds due to act of god but can move your credit to a different trip.
What is the cancellation policy?
Refund Policy – Due to the nature of outdoor adventures and that we have many upfront costs, all day adventures are non refundable. We can issue a credit for full amount that guest can use to a future adventure with cancellations a week in advance from the date of trip. We do everything in the best of our abilities to provide an amazing experience however due to weather & safety restrictions we may, at times, not be able to reach summit or desired view with group.
What if the roads are bad?
We have the meeting at the Tumbler Ridge Visitor Centre at 10:00 AM giving us plenty of time to get there. Please, take your time on the roads. Make sure to have my number in your phone just in case if you can’t make it. 250-263-7302.
Where can I go to the bathroom?
There is plenty of places to stop and go to the bathroom. No outhouses available.
Is Peak Wyld Co responsible for your vehicle to the trail head?
No, participant is responsible for the drive to the trailhead. Peak Wyld Co is not responsible for any damages done to vehicle while driving or parked at the trailhead.
