Optional:
Where do we meet? Participants will meet at the Fort Nelson Visitor Centre.
Address: 5500 Alaska Hwy, Fort Nelson, BC V0C 1R0
How much water should I carry? It is recommended to pack 2 liters of water for the hike. Hydration bladders are particularly effective in the summer months. A water filter will be provided by your guide.
Are dogs allowed? Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted on the trail, except for the guide’s dog.
Is it a women-only hike? No, our hikes are inclusive, and everyone is welcome to join!
Is it beginner-friendly? Yes, the hike is suitable for beginners with some hiking experience. While the trail includes challenging sections, participants should be physically fit enough to navigate hills and walk comfortably with incline. Please note that the trail is rated as moderate to challenging due to its distance and elevation gain. Remeber though, we go at everyones pace. This is not a race, and trust me we love staring at the flowers too.
Can children join in on the fun? Absolutely! We encourage family participation. The minimum age limit for participants is 10 years old.
How do we get to the location? We will coordinate a carpool, led by the guide, to the trailhead. If you hit Summit Lake you have gone too far.
Where can I go to the bathroom? There is a restroom at the Visitors Centre and there is an outhouse right up from the trailhead to use before the hike.
Is Peak Wyld Co responsible for my vehicle during the trip? No, participants are responsible for their own vehicles while driving to the trailhead. Peak Wyld Co is not liable for any damages incurred to vehicles while driving or parked at the trailhead.
