Wyld Rangers – Shoot and Archery

Aug. 19, 2026 - 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Wyld Rangers Ages 11-16

Shooting & Archery Day - Charlie Lake, BC

One thing I’m really excited about is creating a fun event for our teenagers. We live in a hunting community, and passing down knowledge, respect for the outdoors, and safe, ethical hunting practices to the next generation is very important to me. 🫶
These skills aren’t just about hunting—they’re about responsibility, conservation, confidence, and building a connection to the land. It’s pretty special to see young people learning from experienced mentors, asking questions, and gaining hands-on experience in a positive environment.
The future of our hunting traditions starts with our youth, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to help them learn and grow.
Event Highlights

Event Highlights

  • Shooting Skills Training: Under the watchful eyes of certified instructors from the North Peace Rod and Gun Club, participants will learn the fundamentals of safe rifle shooting. With instructors positioned on both sides of your children, they’ll receive personalized guidance and support, building confidence and competence with each shot.
  • Archery Instruction: Certified instructors from the New Totem Archery Club will lead teens through the basics of archery — proper stance, draw technique, aim, and release. Like the shooting sessions, instructors will work closely with each participant, offering hands-on coaching so every teen leaves with real skill and confidence on the range.
  • Catered Lunch: We’ve partnered with a local caterer Red Barn Eatery, who shares our goal of showcasing local products whenever possible. Think locally raised beef on the burgers and hot dogs, fresh buns, and local fruits and vegetables — a meal that feeds everyone while supporting the farmers, producers, and businesses that make our community special.
  • Survival Skills Afternoon: Rounding out the day, participants dive into outdoor survival essentials, including building shelters, plant identification, knot tying, nature crafting, and fire safety and building.

This camp is designed for all teens who have a passion for the outdoors, with rifle shooting and archery as the heart of the experience — taught in partnership with the North Peace Rod and Gun Club and the New Totem Archery Club. We understand how crucial these formative years are, and we aim to foster a love for nature, skill-building, and outdoor confidence that will last a lifetime.
