Another Wyld Explorers class in the books! 🩹🌲

This week’s course focused on remote first aid — and wow, did these kids step up! We learned how to use what we have in the bush to make arm slings, splints out of sticks, and how to work as a team when someone’s hurt on trail.

A huge shoutout to our special guest Dave from @highmarkavalanchesafety — a member of our local Search and Rescue team — who brought real-life knowledge and hands-on scenarios that had every kid eager to jump in and be the rescuer. 💪

These courses have been such a hit, and I’m endlessly grateful to the families who continue to send their kids to explore, grow, and learn with us. Whether it’s their first time or their second, each child brings something unique — and together they create the perfect mix of fun, curiosity, and courage.

Honestly, starting Wyld Explorers has been one of the best things I’ve ever done with my company. Seeing kids thrive outside, get dirty, learn life skills, and just be kids in the bush — that’s the dream. That’s the goal. 💚

Here’s to another day of being free, being Wyld, and being prepared. ✨

Another year, another milestone. 🌿

This trip marks time for me. A reset, a reflection, a reminder of why we do what we do. I looked back through photos, and this one stopped me—Doze. My trail buddy, his light still shining in a place he had never been before… one of his final adventures. 💛

Every year, we gather a group of adventurous women and head deep into the Northern Rockies. It’s not just a hike—it’s a week-long expedition. We weather storms, cross rivers, climb ridges, and eventually fly out by floatplane to a world-famous lodge and soak in hot springs under the stars. ✨

We’ve seen it all on this journey: the belly laughs, the tears, the quiet wins, the sore feet, and the strength that surprises even ourselves.

As we gear up for this year’s trip, I’m filled with gratitude—for the women who show up, for the wild places that hold space for us, and for the growth we continue to chase, year after year. New faces, same trail, always a new story.

Our first Wyld Explorers outdoor survival course with kids was a hit!

Imagination was in full swing as they went to town with the supplies given—building, creating, and learning how to be little adventurers.

This was honestly one of the coolest things I’ve done in a long time. Watching kids fall in love with the outdoors, build confidence, and make new friends along the way? That’s the magic.

Here’s to our wyld ones—may they always stay curious, brave, and connected to nature.

A sandstone column standing tall, shaped by time and weather.

My mind is still spinning knowing dinosaurs once roamed this very earth millions of years ago. The way nature preserves history—each rock, fossil, and formation—is like a piece of ancient art.

This world is full of science that blows my mind… how Earth has lasted this long and continues to create such beauty is something else.

Wylder might’ve believed real dinosaurs still lived here—
but that’s half the fun, seeing it all through a 4-year-old’s eyes. 🦖💫

One of our favourite stops this weekend was the Tumbler Ridge Museum! This place never ceases to amaze me. What’s offered here by such a small, passionate community is truly something special. 🦖

Want to see real-life dinosaur tracks this summer? The museum will take you there!

Join one of their guided hikes down to the Flatbed track site—offered daily at 10 AM and 2 PM (weather permitting). It’s a great adventure for the whole family! Just pop into the museum to pay before the tour, or call ahead to book at 250-242-DINO (3466).
