Event Highlights

  • Shooting Skills Training: Under the watchful eyes of certified instructors, participants will learn the fundamentals of safe shooting with rifles. With instructors positioned on both sides of your children, they will receive personalized guidance and support, ensuring they gain confidence and competence in their shooting abilities.

  • Catered Lunch: Enjoy a delicious catered lunch featuring local ingredients! Our menu includes mouth-watering hot dogs and burgers, showcasing the best of what our community has to offer. We believe in supporting local farmers and producers, and this commitment extends to the meals we serve.

  • Survival Skills Afternoon: In the afternoon, participants will dive into the essentials of survival in the great outdoors. Activities include:

    • Building Shelters: Kids will learn how to construct effective shelters using natural materials, fostering teamwork and creativity.
    • Plant Identification: Knowledge of local flora is crucial for survival. Our instructors will guide participants through safe and informative plant identification sessions, teaching them which plants are edible and which to avoid.
    • Knot Tying: Master essential knots for outdoor activities! Participants will learn various knot-tying techniques, which are vital for building shelters, securing gear, and navigating outdoor challenges.
    • Crafting with Nature: Using materials found in the environment, kids will engage in building and crafting projects, encouraging resourcefulness and creativity. They might create tools, decorations, or even practical items for their camp experience.
    • Fire Safety and Building: Learn how to safely build a fire and understand its importance in survival. Participants will practice starting fires using different techniques and learn about fire safety and management.

This camp is designed for all teens who have a passion for the outdoors. We understand how crucial these formative years are, and we aim to foster a love for nature that will last a lifetime.

 

ITINEARY

Date: July 29 Location: Rod and Gun Club Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM


9:00 AM – 9:30 AM: Check-In and Welcome

  • Participants arrive and check in.
  • Overview of the day’s activities and safety briefing.

9:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Morning Activities

  • Shooting Skills Training (Group A: 10 kids)

    • Location: Shooting Range
    • Instructors guide participants in safe shooting practices and shooting drills.
  • Survival Skills and Crafting (Group B: 10 kids)

    • Activities:
      • Building Shelters: Learn to construct effective shelters using natural materials.
      • Knot Tying: Master essential knots for outdoor activities.
      • Plant Identification: Identify local flora and learn about edible plants.

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch Break

  • Catered Lunch by Red Barn Eatery
    • Enjoy delicious local hot dogs and burgers.
    • Participants switch groups: Group A moves to survival skills, and Group B moves to shooting.

1:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Afternoon Activities

  • Shooting Skills Training (Group B: 10 kids)

    • Continuation of morning shooting skills training with personalized guidance.
  • Survival Skills and Crafting (Group A: 10 kids) – Same as morning. Mix of activities.

    • Activities:
      • Fire Safety and Building: Learn how to start and manage a fire safely.
      • Crafting with Nature: Create tools or decorations using natural materials.

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Team-Building Activities

  • Engage in fun and interactive team-building activities that foster cooperation and effective communication.
  • Activities may include obstacle courses or group challenges focused on survival skills.

4:00 PM: Wrap-Up and Reflection

  • Gather for a group discussion to share experiences and lessons learned throughout the day.
  • Participants receive a certificate of completion and feedback forms.

Important Notes:

  • Safety Equipment: All participants must wear safety gear during shooting activities.
  • Hydration: Encourage participants to stay hydrated; water stations will be available.
  • Parental Pickup: Ensure parents are aware of pickup time at 4:00 PM.

Registration Fees

 

  • Non-Refundable Deposit: $75.00

    • This deposit is required at the time of registration to secure your child’s spot. The deposit is non-refundable and will be applied toward the total camp fee.
  • Early Bird Pricing: $125.00

    • Available until July 15. This pricing offers a significant savings for those who register early.
  • Regular Registration Fee: $150.00

    • Effective after July 15. Ensure your child is registered before this date to take advantage of the lower early bird rate.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation Fee: If you need to cancel your child’s registration, a cancellation fee of $50.00 will be refunded if notice is given before July 15.
  • After July 15: No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after this date.
