Wyld Explorers is BACK for 2026. 🌿 Last summer — Wyld Explorers is BACK for 2026. 🌿

Last summer — plant ID, survival skills, map & compass. Kids in the wild doing real things. And honestly? It was one of my favourite parts of the entire season.

I’m deep in the kid era right now and I cannot WAIT for these events.

This year we’re changing up the locations for some days, adding a hike day, bringing in some special guests, and we want to make it even better than before.

But we need YOUR input ⬇️

🌲 What would you love to see your kids learning outside?
📍 Full days or half days — what works for your family?
👥 We’re also looking for two people to join our team for these events!
What age group are you looking for?

Drop your ideas in the comments, send us a DM, or tag a mama who needs to hear this.

Let’s get kids outside this summer. 🏔️

You can be a mom and build something that matters. You can be a mom and build something that matters. Both. At the same time.

Am I behind on emails? Yes. Am I finding the time when I can? Also yes.

I’m in it — the newborn fog, the late nights, the moments where I don’t know which role needs me more. And I’m also building a summer of guiding, a season of memories, a business that lights me on fire.

We’re raising these kids the way we were raised — outside, wild, unhurried. The way it’s supposed to feel.

Some days I’m emotionally drained and emotionally fired up in the same breath. And I’ve stopped pretending that’s a contradiction. It’s just what it looks like when you’re building two beautiful things at once.

Both can exist. Both do exist.

When you love what you do, you find a way. You answer the email at midnight. You strap the baby on and lace up your boots. You show your kids, without saying a word, what it looks like to go after something real.

This isn’t hustle culture. This is just love — for your family and for your work — refusing to let either one go.
BIG news, and we are not keeping it to ourselves. BIG news, and we are not keeping it to ourselves. 🙌

Some people just get it — and the moment we connected with Sara Laing, we knew she was one of those people.

Sara is a certified IGA 4-Season Professional Hiking Guide and ACMG Hiking Guide, freshly rooted in Tumbler Ridge, BC after years of guiding in the Canadian Rockies. She doesn’t just lead hikes — she opens people’s eyes to the world beneath their boots and above the treeline. Wildflowers, geology, ecosystems, the quiet stories the land tells if you slow down enough to listen. She’s the kind of guide who turns a ridge walk into a full-on education — all woven into an experience that sticks with you long after your boots are off.
And honestly? That mirrors everything Peak Wyld Co. was built on.

We both believe that wild places deserve to be felt deeply — not just passed through. We both know that confidence in the outdoors is something that’s built, not given. And we both get a little giddy thinking about what’s possible right here in our own backyard. 🌿

Peak Wyld Co. has always been about connection — to the land, to yourself, to this incredible corner of the world we call home. Sara lives that, breathes that, and we cannot wait to build something truly special together.

Tumbler Ridge, your adventures just levelled up. 🏔️⚡
Welcome to the crew, Sara. Let’s go make some magic. 🤍

The baby’s new, the soup is hot, and somehow they The baby’s new, the soup is hot, and somehow they landed a plane just to sit across the table from us. That’s north. That’s home. 🌲

Out here, hay fields turn into runways and that’s just a Saturday. Distance doesn’t mean what it means anywhere else — it just means your people get a little more creative about showing up.

She flew in with her hunny and their people, soup in hand — made with garden veggies, the kind that taste like actual summer and somebody’s backyard and a whole lot of love. Set it on my counter, pulled up a chair, and we just sat together over a hot coffee with my fresh new baby between us.

No highway required. No explanation needed.

This is the part of northern living that nobody warns you about — how full it can make you feel. How your best friends will literally find a field, land a plane, and walk through your door like it’s the most normal thing in the world.

Because up here, it is. 💛🛩️☕

There is a book living somewhere in these mountain There is a book living somewhere in these mountains. I can feel it.

It’s in the way the fire pulls something honest out of you. The way a circle of women around an open flame will say things they’ve never said out loud — things that deserve pages, not just the night air.

It’s in the porcupine that wandered through like a punctuation mark. In the storm that lit up the horizon just to remind you the world is still dramatic and alive. In the silence — the real silence, the kind that doesn’t make you anxious, the kind that makes you listen.

I came out here thinking I needed a break from everything.

What I found was the first chapter.

These mountains have a way of doing that. Of stripping away all the noise until what’s left is only the true stuff. The stuff worth writing down. The laughs that echoed back off the ridge. The conversations that started at the fire and never really ended. The feeling of having a place entirely to yourself — and realizing that in that space, you finally have room to hear yourself think.

This trip doesn’t just restore you.

It writes you.

And when that book comes — and it’s coming, I know it the way you know a storm is near before you can hear it — it will have been born right here. Somewhere between the ember light and the mountains and the most wyld, most honest version of myself I’ve found yet.

Already 1/4 booked for 2027. The mountains are ready. So am I. 🤍

Feeling lucky today… but truthfully, I always feel Feeling lucky today… but truthfully, I always feel a little extra blessed surrounded by so much green.

On St. Patrick’s Day, we celebrate the color, the energy, and the life that green symbolizes. Out here, it’s more than a color—it the pulse of the forest, the moss underfoot, the fresh spring growth after a long northern winter. The beauty of green in nature has a way of grounding you—reminding you that everything comes back to life again.

It’s a reminder of resilience, renewal, and the wyld beauty that keeps us rooted in this place.

And a little extra shoutout today—Happy due date to Miss Wren Leigh. Today was supposed to be her day earth side.

Here’s to the power of green, today and every day.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀
